I guess I
have been interested in miniatures for a long time,
and I've always been creating things.
I picked up eggery as a hobby in 1984, the summer
my grandmother passed away. She had always been a
creative person, and making these eggs was a hobby
of hers. I got interested by going through her
supplies and books when we went through her house to
sell everything.
I haven't really touched this hobby since that
summer, but I still have some of the eggs. Most are
a little broken. Some had music boxes in them. All
have tiny little hinges where they open up to reveal
a surprise inside.
I did get to see an exhibit in Cleveland of the
real eggs by Faberge for the Czar's family. THat was
pretty neat.
